[Intro]

[Intro]

Don't take the bachata out of bachata

Don't take the bachata out of bachata

¡Ay Dios!

Ay Dios!

¡Lo hicimos de nuevo mami!

We did it again mami!

[Verso 1]

[Verse 1]

Baila de la forma que quieras

Dance however you want

Dale, goza a tu manera

Come on, enjoy it your way

Inventa pasito como Ataca

Invent a little step like Ataca

But don't take the bachata out of bachata

That little by little it's slipping from our hands

Don't take the bachata out of bachata

Because the essence is preserved and isn't killed

Don't take the bachata out of bachata

No se la quite no, no se la quite

Don't take it away, no, don't take it away

No se la quite

Don't take it away

[Interludio]

[Interlude]

Agregando Luz

Agregando Luz

¡Ay Dios!

Ay Dios!

[Verso 2]

[Verse 2]

La bachata es multiplicación

Bachata is multiplication

No es división

It's not division

La bachata es sentimiento

Bachata is feeling

También corazón

Also heart

Take refuge in the essence even if they call you classic

And every now and then come on, throw in a básico

[Coro]

[Chorus]

Baila de la forma que quieras

Dance however you want

Dale, goza a tu manera

Come on, enjoy it your way

Inventa pasito como Ataca

Invent a little step like Ataca

But don't take the bachata out of bachata

Don't take the bachata out of bachata

Because the essence is preserved and isn't killed

Don't take the bachata out of bachata

No se la quite no, no se la quite

Don't take it away, no, don't take it away

No se la quite

Don't take it away

[Puente]

[Bridge]

Let's go!

Pasito Time

Nos fuimos sensual baby

We're going sensual baby

But don't take the bachata out of bachata

🌍 Culture & Context

Context

Released on June 19, 2026 as a single (Grupo Extra / ONErpm), 'No Le Quite la Bachata a la Bachata' is written by Edward Anthony Regalado Santana and Fidel Pérez. The track speaks directly to the dance community: invent steps if you want (a nod to Ataca), but don't strip the genre of its essence.

Meaning

A danced manifesto. Dance however you want, enjoy your way — but don't take the bachata out of bachata. The essence is preserved, it isn't killed: multiplication, not division; feeling and heart; even if they call you classic, still throw in a básico.

Artist

Grupo Extra is a Dominican-rooted bachata group formed in Zurich, Switzerland, around Tony Santana (Edward Regalado). Starting in urban music, they became known for modern and sensual bachata, especially on European dance floors. Fidel Pérez, their manager/producer, notably worked with Aventura.
